Unless the hours are canceled, I am scheduled to work until about eight o'clock tonight.  Well, that was fast.  I almost no sooner had written that than I received this:

So, it is settled.  The Lord wants me writing, not working.  Maybe I will get caught up finally.  I'll probably need a nap, though, as I got very little sleep last night.  

I did write a letter to Josiah while Connie and I were listening to Leslie's message this morning, and gave it the subject line "Operation Pink Bubblegum."  As noted in the description, that was inspired by the LORD, Who reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets, and by "Der Fuehrer's Face - Full length" accessible at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MReV9dkAVhY

Now, we have our "Operation Pink Bubblegum" (with or without regard to what these evildoers are calling it).  I'll tell you the truth, beloved, if I have to attend any part of Josiah's trial, and especially if I am called as a witness, I think it will be really hard to keep a straight face, especially in front of the prosecution or any of the so-called witnesses for the malicious, selective prosecution, until the LORD turns them, that is, as He has promised to do.  

The Lord brought a very nice blessing this morning.  Leslie had a woman sing a solo of, "In the Presence of Jehovah."  I have included a version by The Martins above. 

Right after that, he called a man named Allen (or Alan) forward, laid his right hand on the man's forehead, and said a beautiful blessing over him.  Neither Connie nor I have ever seen Leslie do such a thing before.  The man was bald, and I had an immediate understanding in my spirit that Leslie was blessing the man, certainly, but not the man only; Leslie was blessing him as a proxy for me (the bald man, prophetically, for some time now).  I was so touched, more and more as the time passed.  The best real-time chronicle, as always, is the message that Connie and I were passing back and forth:

At this point, Leslie called a man named Allen to come forward.  Leslie laid his (right) hand on Allen's forehead and said a beautiful blessing over him.  Allen means "Rock."

Before that, Leslie had an old favorite sung, he told a story about it, and lingered there for a while.

Leslie could not have known of my longstanding love for that hymn (since I was a teen at least).  Neither could he have known of my longstanding practice of singing that in the car, in my travels alone.  In the flesh, Leslie could not have known any of that; in the spirit, however, we know all things.  Leslie said they know (knew) the Goodmans, and one even listened to him preach once and wrote a song about it afterward.  The Lord has given us such comforting company, has He not?  In these trials on our way, even in that way, He gently leads us by the still waters of strengthened, stablished, settled saints, fellowship divine that distance cannot dim.

I'm so eternally grateful that He is such a gracious, merciful God.
I'm so eternally thankful that Christ came looking for me, when I was dead in my sins, and wanted nothing to do with Him.
I'm so eternally in awe that One so holy and so mighty would stoop down to bring me back to life, by surrendering His own, and then taking it up again.

Except for grace..... 




Except for grace, where would any of us be?  

We mock the devil, for he is a liar; but we do not mock or make light in any way the devastation, destruction, disfranchisement, dispossession of real property, and death he leaves in his evil wake, or the pain of those so affected.  Except for grace, their doom, like the devil's, is sure.  But there is grace; God's free offer of grace, in Christ Jesus, by the power of His shed blood, through the operation of the Holy Spirit, against which no devil can stand.  

Lord, we pray for Your wonder-working power in the lives of many caught up in the belly of the beast, of the dragon.  Except for grace, I would still be trapped there.  Your grace is sufficient for me and for all who would be free.  Take us back to innocence, Saviour, back to innocence lost.  Praise You for displacing the enemy's wrongs with Your own righteousness, and for restoring the years that the locusts have eaten.  Only You, Precious Lord, can make the crooked way straight, can bring light to darkness, hope to the hopeless, and only You can make something from nothing.  There is none like You!
